Are you looking for a therapist who strives to develop a collaborative partnership?  Whose goal it is to provide safe, nurturing, and effective pschotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, and their families who are in crisis or major life transitions.  One who uses everyday language, collaborative, client-centered, play /experiential therapy, and individually tailored approaches to better build trust that will allow positive change to occur?   This respectful way of working allows client's to educate me about their lives, values, and goals.  Therapy shouldn't be complicated - it's really about sitting down and talking with another person without feeling judged, talked down to, or being told what to do.

As a parent of grown children I have personally experienced many of the life transitions and issues that bring adults, children, adolescents, and families into therapy.  This allows me to better understand the effects these can have on individuals and families, while knowing that each person experiences these events in different ways.  I also have several years experience working in area schools with children from Kindergarden through 12th grade, and their families.  This has included working with children with Aspergers on issues such as self-esteem and social skills.  This has provided me with a good understanding of the current issues and challenges faced by students and parents in this setting as well.
